Custom Home Vision

William A. Foster is quoted as saying, “Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution.” We couldn’t agree more. Lord General Contractors’ tradition of excellence has been established by providing only top quality materials, using the most experienced craftsmen, and working with the finest structural engineers to create homes of unsurpassed quality.

Unlike many builders, Lord General Contractors wants its customers to know what’s behind the drywall. That’s why we give each home buyer a tour of their home before the drywall is installed. Customers see first-hand the top quality materials and skilled craftsmanship being used.

Upgrades and luxury add-ons associated with other builders are standard features in a Robert Lord home. Amenities include unique doorway arches and columns, handcrafted cabinetry, elaborate staircases, detailed ceilings, wall sconces, and granite, not only in the kitchen, but in all bathrooms and the laundry as well. And that is just the beginning. Every enhancement you select is seamlessly added to create a customized home that is uniquely yours.

Lord General Contractors strives to continually set the benchmark for excellence by pushing the boundaries of the home building industry. Because we are dedicated to giving our customers only the best, we build each home using only the finest materials and the most experienced craftsmen.

The Planning Process

If the prospect of building a new home seems like a daunting task, you can be assured that Lord General Contractors will guide you through each step of the planning process.

In your first meeting with Robert Lord, you will discuss your price point, lot location choice, square footage requirements, and outline your standards both structurally and mechanically. In addition to the technical facets of the home building process, Robert will also want to discuss with you the most exciting aspect of building your home—your “Wish List.” What are the things you want most in your new home—the things you positively cannot live without? Go ahead, be creative. Dare to dream!

During the follow-up meeting, you’ll go over final lot selection and begin the blueprint design and rendering process. Then begins the selection process and you begin to choose each feature of your home, from the roofing shingles to the switch plate covers and everything in between.

Once your selections have been made, the blueprints have been rendered, and the contract has been signed, the permits are pulled and construction will begin.

We understand that before, during, and after each meeting, you’ll have questions, which is why Rob makes himself available for your questions concerns, selection and design changes, progress updates, and anything else you would like to discuss. So don’t hesitate to call or e-mail with any questions you may have.
